Bedtime Story Teller

A gentle, personalised bedtime story, written and narrated for one child.

The Bedtime Story Teller writes a calm, age-appropriate bedtime story built around the child who is listening: their name, a theme they love, a favourite toy, even a writer whose style to borrow. You can read it yourself or have the agent narrate it aloud, and export it to keep. A new story every night, made for the child in front of you.

What you might use it for:

• Tonight's story for an eight-year-old who loves space: name the child, pick a theme, add their favourite toy, and get a personalised story, dedicated to them, in a couple of minutes.
• A wind-down without a screen: press Read aloud and let the agent narrate at a gentle pace while the child listens.

Write the brief

Step 1 is about who is listening:

• Child's name, age band, and length (a short three-minute story, or longer).
• Theme: pick one, Space adventure, Friendly dragons, Under the sea, Magic forest, Talking animals, or Pirates.
• Influences (optional, up to three): borrow a little style from Julia Donaldson, Roald Dahl, Aesop's fables, Brothers Grimm, Studio Ghibli, or Dr. Seuss, or add your own.
• Personal touches: a favourite toy or pet, a lesson to weave in (sharing, being brave), and characters to include.

Read it, or have it read aloud

The story arrives with a title, a dedication to the child, and one or more chapters. From there you can:

• Read aloud: the agent narrates the story in the browser, with a pace control, so you can follow along or let the child listen.
• Edit inline to tweak a line yourself.
• Save story to keep it, and export to PDF, Word (DOCX), or Markdown.

Change it without starting over

The panel on the right keeps the story in context. Ask for a change in plain words, a sleepier ending, a different toy, a shorter version, and the agent revises the current story rather than writing a new one. More options unlock after your first story, and past stories are saved so you can reopen them.

Limits and FAQ

Is the narration a real voice? Read aloud uses your browser's built-in speech, with a voice and pace you can set. The video's narration here is a separate AI voice used for this guide.

Are the influences copies of those authors? No. They steer tone and style only; the story is original and written for your child.

Can I keep the stories? Yes: save a story and export it to PDF, Word, or Markdown. Past stories stay in your library.

Which model writes the story? Whichever model the lane is configured to use (visible in the top bar).
